Seeds Photography Group consists of three photographers based out of Charlottesville, VA. We all trust and respect the quality of each other's work. However, we recognize each person is unique and has a distinct way of capturing certain moments. Knowing this, we want to give you the opportunity as our clients to review each individual photographer’s work and styles so you may request a certain photographer if you like.

Marieke Cappa

I started taking photos while I was in college, and discovered a passion for photography when I entered nature with my camera and challenged myself to capture the beauty I saw. As I’ve grown and experienced different things, my passion for photography has shifted to taking photos of people. I love photographing families. As a young mom, I know how quickly time goes by, so I love being able to capture and protect these precious memories so they can come back to life tomorrow.

I’ve found that with each photo I take, and every session I do, I fall more in love with photography. I specialize in candid photography and love to capture simple, sweet, natural moments between you and the ones you love. My goal is to make capturing these precious moments more affordable for you, and to make our time together sweet and fun.

Holly Donithan

There are a lot of phrases you could use to describe who I am: nature lover, mother to one sweet little boy with another baby on the way, wife to a kind-hearted husband, ice cream-aholic (mint chocolate chip), crafter, pinterest addict, daughter, sister, friend, teacher, chick flick connoisseur, beach bum, and calendar junkie.

All of these things define me, but the thing that defines my photography is passion---passion to capture the beauty of God’s creation, the spark of a couple in love, the joy of a growing family, or the innocence of a child. I enjoy the challenge of coming up with creative ideas to suit each unique client, setting, and event. I truly treasure time spent with my clients and would love the opportunity to work with you to freeze special moments in time with those you cherish.

Ashley McKinney

I am a wife and a mom, and I love anything and everthing active and outdoors. Hiking is my favorite family activity, and I love that Virginia has endless places and trails to explore. There is just something so special about being fully emersed in God's beautiful creation, and I love seeing the awe and wonder in my daughters' eyes as they try to take it all in.

I became interested in photography soon after my first daughter was born, but what began as a fun hobby quickly grew into a burning passion for capturing beautiful and tender moments in time. After the arrival of my second daughter, it became even more apparent to me how fleeting time can be. I loved being able to capture such precious moments for myself and for my family, but the fire in me continued to grow as I saw other moms and dads and grandparents longing to also find a way to freeze time and hold onto it as long as possible, which brings me here. While time is something you can never get back, I would love for my photography to help you relive all those precious moments for your family every time you look back at your photos. I can't wait to work with you as we capture beautiful moments and wonderful memories together.
